Hey guys!
Been awhile. Hope you're all doing well. With rumors flying that baseball will begin sometime in the beginning of July, I wanted to put up a post to accomplish two things.
1. An activity check to make sure everyone is still in for the 2020 season.
2. A thread for discussions on how we should schedule our season (will change as we get more info).
So please vote on the poll to let me know you're still in and contribute any thoughts to our 2020 league year if you have them (arbitration, scheduling, playoffs, etc.)
Thanks!
Alex

I know we've had a few brief discussions in the GroupMe about how to proceed with a severely shortened season, but I'll post it here for those who missed it.
If baseball does go with something like an 80 game schedule, that would be about half of our normal slate of fantasy games. My proposal was to run a 2 game per week schedule which could get us close to an 18 game season.
For example
Week 1 schedule - Nationals vs Braves vs Marlins Week 1 results - Nationals 300 points, Braves 250 points, Marlins 200 points Week 1 standings - Nationals 2-0, Braves 1-1, Marlins 0-2
I am pretty sure ESPN is not capable of handling this kind of schedule so it is something that would have to be manually maintained. I'm sure our Excel Guru (Will) could handle this. It has also been mentioned that Fantrax has this scheduling capability, so maybe we spend 1 season on Fantrax. I like the second option a bit less but it would be easier to run a league that way.
As far as arbitration, I suggested that for AB's and IP/GS/RA requirements we just cut those in half since it's a half-season schedule. For example, instead of 130 AB's required to move on to the next year of arbitration, it would only be 65, and so on for the pitchers.
For the A Arb salaries, I suggested that we just double the amount of points scored since it'd be a half a season worth of games. For example, Amed Rosario (A Arb Year 4 of 7 currently) scores 200 points, that would only put him at a $4 million salary next year due to the shortened season, under my proposal, we double his point total (and salary) to 400 points, or $8 million for the following season.
A lot of information there. But these were just the ideas I had bouncing around my brain.
