White Sox agree to trade:
Trae Turner, SS, WAS (Type A - 5 of 7 - $11.50M) - including $8M in salary coverage for 2021
CWS 2021 3rd round pick
Time to make some moves. With Caleb selling, I thought this was a great time to acquire a top 7 SS in MLB, especially given that SS is a complete hole in my roster. With Lindor getting locked up long-term, I was getting concerned about the timing of Mauricio's call up as well as where he ends up positionally. Hate to give up on his talent; however, its time to retool this lineup for a real playoff push. As for Arozarena, I have been back and forth on him. My heart tells me he hits 40 HRs. My brain tells me to sell high now while his value is as high as it can be, as I really don't see him performing like he did last year in the playoffs. Could he end up being a perennial all-star with his talent? Sure, if he lives up to the potential. But I will take the sure deal with Trae Turner now. I hate giving up my 1st rounder in this years draft; however, it had to be done to preserve my other untouchable prospect core of Skubal, Crochet, Manning, Canario, etc.
